Plan for Popularizing Peer-to-Peer Payment (AKA PPP2PP)

If Paypal or other similar person-to-person payment systems were really interested in becoming the standard for small interpersonal transactions on the web, they'd set up something similar to PayLAR$ where people could donate to the band they're currently listening to on Winamp or downloading from Napster.
